A breathtaking pair of earrings from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted in 18kt yellow gold, these earrings begin with a simple 14kt earring wire atop a micromosaic surmount. The surmount displays concentric patterns of red, white, blue, and black tiles, coming to a dainty white floral burst in its center.? Two links hang from the surmount to carry an elaborately decorated urn by its geometric handles. Each urn exhibits minuscule tiles creating angular patterns. Small gold bars add metallic glints against the detailed red, white, blue, green, black, and?brown?tesserae, creating a unique pattern. Dainty spherical details adorn the sides of the closed-back urns, right below the handles.
